Because vacuum pumps are often used in high temperature, high pressure and corrosive environment, various kinds of damage will inevitably occur. If we want to prolong their service life and make them used in various industries for a long time, we need to carry out regular maintenance. The manufacturers of vacuum pumps introduce the following points for attention in maintenance:

1. Make clear the location number of vacuum pump to be repaired, coordinate and confirm the maintenance personnel with the production workshop monitor or the main operation of the post, and make a good job of the post pump stop notification and coordination arrangement.

2. The workshop should implement the effective cut-off of the pump and other pumping systems, reaction devices and collecting tanks, and label them; carry out the necessary replacement to prevent flammable, toxic and corrosive materials in the system to be repaired, and notify the maintenance personnel to carry out the repairs after all safety measures are in place.

3. When checking the pump valve, attention should be paid to whether the sealing ring is aging and deformed, whether the spring elasticity is seriously reduced, whether there are wear and corrosion defects between the valve orifice and the valve core.

4. When installing, the end face of the valve should be flat with the flange face of the pump body and should not be concave.

5. When replacing the diaphragm, the pump head should be lifted in advance to prevent falling damage.

6. When disassembling and assembling the adjusting mechanism, it is necessary to calibrate the stroke length position, remove the calibration table, slide the calibration ring into the calibration position, and measure the stroke length exactly in accordance with the calibration table.

7. When disassembling the piston, the filling ring should be removed from the groove with a special pointed tool, and the groove should not be damaged.

Vacuum pump manufacturers require us to pay attention to the above points when repairing vacuum pumps. In the process of repairing, we should strictly follow the PPE wearing requirements, prevent accidental injuries, and immediately stop operation and evacuate the site when we find abnormalities around.
