Cause Analysis of Scaling in Vacuum Pump

2018-12-07 15:54:00

During the use of vacuum pumps, a layer of stain often accumulates in the interior of the pumps, which gradually destroys the heat transfer environment in the pumps and reduces the heat exchange frequency, thus affecting the normal operation of the vacuum pumps. In order to help users solve this problem, vacuum pump manufacturers have analyzed the following reasons for scaling:
1. Thermal decomposition: After the circulating water containing hardness component enters the vacuum pump, it forms a water ring in the pump body to work and heat with the rotation of the pump, which gradually decomposes the bicarbonate dissolved in the water and precipitates the insoluble water to form scales.
2. Solubility decreases: Salts such as CA-SO4, CASIO3 and CACO3 with negative solubility temperature coefficient decrease solubility with the increase of circulating water temperature, so precipitation forms scale.
3. Interaction: During the operation of vacuum pumps, salts with high solubility in circulating water react physically with other salts to form insoluble substances and scale.
4. Evaporation and Concentration: As the circulating water continues to work and heat, evaporation and concentration will inevitably occur, which will increase the concentration of dissolved salt in water and precipitate to form scale when it reaches saturation.
Scaling of vacuum pumps is a common problem. There are two kinds of scales: salt and dirt. Their components vary with different water sources. We should analyze the causes and components of scaling in detail in order to take effective measures to avoid scaling.
